Should also be noted (IDK if this is a feature of GNOME or nautilus) but the file selector when uploading some file via firefox or etc where you have to select a file works. Are you still hitting this on an updated system? Also... you shouldn't mix amd64 and x86 keywords as you do... neither set the sse* related flags in CFLAGS. No im not anymore :) Was fixed after a short while. Completely forgot about this bug report. My bad sorry. Already did clean it up a while ago.
