Description Haxk20 2023-01-04 20:43:33 UTC
After upgrading my system which included GNOME 43 upgrade Nautilus no longer launches.
I opened a terminal window to see what it may be missing and the error reported back is "Failed to register: Timeout was reached".

As a temporary solution (after all i need some way to manage my files) i used Nemo which launches without a single issue.

Im attaching an emerge --info output

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Nautilus >=43
Actual Results:
Fails to open

Expected Results:
Application should open as usual

Should also be noted (IDK if this is a feature of GNOME or nautilus) but the file selector when uploading some file via firefox or etc where you have to select a file works.

Are you still hitting this on an updated system?

Also... you shouldn't mix amd64 and x86 keywords as you do... neither set the sse* related flags in CFLAGS.
