I'm thinking we should last rite icedtea, actually, based on the inactivity of the proxied maintainer. See https://bugs.gentoo.org/633050#c1. I can contribute a bump to 3.30 (https://mail.openjdk.org/pipermail/distro-pkg-dev/2024-February/042651.html), or maybe the 3.31 release next month, if there is still some way to do so. I've never had commit access to make changes to the main tree. Package removed. Lol? A bump was just contributed. (In reply to Esteve Varela Colominas from comment #4) > Lol? A bump was just contributed. Which doesn't preclude it being added back to the tree, but after *several* years of an unresponsive Gentoo maintainer in a package with numerous security issues (and more coming every few months, see dependencies on this bug), and one with a far-better-supported alternative at that, I think we should keep this package gone, unless we can find more maintainers for it. |
