I did some research of my own. That's what I need to do in order to start the alsasound service: 1) modprobe soundcore 2) insmod (not modprobe!) snd.ko. modprobe complains about "snd: Unknown parameter `device_mode'". 3) modprobe snd-emu10k1. 4) /etc/init.d/alsasound start. Removed "options snd device_mode=0x066" from /etc/modules.d/alsa and it now works. Do I need this line? yeah, just get rid of that line... |
