Description Marius Mauch (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-06 05:56:04 UTC
<genone> ka0ttic: hmm, bash-completion for emerge doesn't complete filenames after redirect (e.g. `emerge -ep world > /tmp/foo`) ?
<ka0ttic> genone: hmm. I removed the filename completion code since using filenames with emerge is deprecated; that didnt cross my mind. I'll re-add it next release
<genone> ka0ttic: ah, thought it was because > is a valid char in atoms
<ka0ttic> genone: it could be. dunno if your example worked before I removed it
<ka0ttic> genone: 20041017-r3 should be pre-removal
* genone tests
<ka0ttic> I suspect it'll work though. filename completion for anything is pretty much an all or nothing thing
<ka0ttic> you cant really enable it only for a certain thing, you have to enable it for the whole completion func
<genone> source /etc/bash_completion should be sufficient, no?
<ka0ttic> . /etc/profile.d/bash-completion
<genone> still doesn't work
<ka0ttic> hmm
<ka0ttic> genone: bug pls?
