I first tried with emerge --usepkg openoffice then with emerge openoffice and I got same error, I have kde desktop running only, below the error message:

g++: Internal error: Terminated (program cc1plus)

This happens if you don't have enough memory, compiling OOo with under 256 MB of RAW does not work
