Description John Helmert III archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2022-10-14 18:45:21 UTC
I'd like to disband the Kernel Security project for much the same reasons as the Auditing project - for all of its purposes, the root security project will suffice. As in the other bug, we'll have a few things to do:

- Reassign bugs away from security-kernel@ to security@
- Change the default assignee of the "Kernel" component to security@
- Remove the mail alias, though I'd be happy with it as an alias for security@ for a while.
- Remove the project page. For history's sake I'd like it to be kept under the security namespace, rather than as its own namespace's root page.
- Anything else?

Alias is already done with a note that it was done for the other bug:

# Project has been disbanded: bug #836238

I'll try to handle all of this for infra's side this time.

Bug reassignment and "Kernel" component default assignee done. CCing wiki@ to handle wiki page. Archiving the project page like security-audit would be best, I think

Change has been performed as ajak requested. Please see the revision history here:

https://wiki.gentoo.org/index.php?title=Kernel_security_%28project_archive%29&type=revision&diff=1168629&oldid=1162309

I believe this means the bug can be marked resolved?
