if I try "configure" plugin via xmms I give font configuration dialog instead plugins configuration dialog.

There's no configuration dialog for lirc plugin. You should read the documentation and setup .lircrc to have it working.

no, but If functionality isnt present, probably you should not allow to user see enabled "Configure" button on this plugin. It must be disabled.
