The nforce-audio ebuild misses to install the binary nvmix-reg, which ist needed to store and restore the mixer setting for NVmixer.
In order to store the settings you have to add 
'/usr/bin/nvmix-reg -f /etc/nvmixrc -S' to /etc/conf.d/local.stop
and 
'/usr/bin/nvmix-reg -f /etc/nvmixrc -L' to /etc/conf.d/local.start

I think it's not worth writing a initscript for this.
I updated the ebuild to install nvmix-reg and added a user information which informs about store/restore behaviour.
