Can you consider applying the patches at
http://live.gnome.org/Epiphany/MozillaPatches
to the firefox-ebuild?
Epiphany and Galeon can be built against firefox, but with some problems that will be fixed by these patches.

This adds the five necessary patches listed at
http://live.gnome.org/Epiphany/MozillaPatches, and enables the typeaheadfind
extension for browsers which embed Firefox.  Patches to be attached.

I compressed the set of patches to reduce bug noise, sorry if this bothers
anyone.  Notes are in the ebuild diff.

Since these patches are primarily for embedding, Firefox as a browser is not
affected.

if none of the patches have to be rediffed I will add them into a test build ..
and we will move forward from there.

mozilla-1.0.6-r3 is in the tree. sorry it took a while.

The patches applied for me and seem to work.

There is a small issue with typeahead find - the status messages are not
displayed at the bottom of the window.  I will try to look into this over the
weekend.
