I too get this error. As well as a bunch of people in #gentoo. I'm having this problem too. So are all the people here - http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-2228592.html#2228592 i am having this problem tooo unfortunately i pasted my error in bug number 86465. Similar problem. Um... quit trying to use the 2005.0 stuff without understanding how it works... You can't use any portage snapshot other than the official snapshot and expect it to work as the 2005.0 stuff is very divergent from the 2004.3 stuff. Even the Handbook is quite divergent due to this. Switch back to the 2004.3 stuff or wait for 2005.0 to be officially released so you can follow the proper instructions for installation. Chris, What do you mean? I just followed the instructions in the Handbook. What specifically is 2005.0 material? |
