A new version of media-sound/gnump3d, version 2.9.2 is available as of 2005-02-19. It appears to be a minor bugfix release and a quick copy of the ebuild is all that's necessary.

gnump3d is now up to version 2.9.3.  I have verified that it builds and runs fine by copying over the 2.9 ebuild.
