x11-plugins/gkrellmms requires xmms as a dependancy, while it can be also configured to be used with beep-media-player
is there any way to remove this unwanted dependancy? I don't want to install xmms in addition to beep media player....

Please try the ebuild available in bug 82738 with the bmp use flag.
