Issue: sys-cluster/parallel-netcdf-1.12.2 fails to compile (lto).
Discovered on: amd64 (internal ref: guru_tinderbox)

NOTE:
This machine uses lto with CFLAGS=-flto -Werror=odr -Werror=lto-type-mismatch -Werror=strict-aliasing
