to clarify---this is what our package calls vnc, and what the world seems to call "realvnc" /iaw Have you tried adding the "server" USE flag? For example, add the line: net-misc/vnc server to your /etc/portage/package.use (create the file if it doesn't already exist). Re-assign. This WORKSFORME on vnc-4.0-r1 when the `server` use flag is in effect, suggesting RESOLVED INVALID. the server USE flag does seem to be a bit obscure, especially from the perspective of vnc. I would suggest that at the end of the VNC build, you emit a warning that says something like "this build was without use flag "server" and therefore installed only the client". alternatively, I would also offer a vnc-server ebuild, that contains the server and client, and which differs only by setting the server use flag. just suggestions to make it more userfriendly... regards, /iaw |
