Bug 857912

Summary: app-emulation/spice-vdagent should be added to livegui-amd64 in order to enable clipboard sharing under QEMU

Description Jeff Gazso 2022-07-13 23:30:21 UTC
Installation of app-emulation/spice-vdagent on the guest OS is a necessary prerequisite for clipboard sharing between the host and guest under QEMU. (Other virtualization solutions may have other requirements.) This should significantly improve the user experience with the LiveGUI ISO image under QEMU, assuming the host's version QEMU is configured to support it which it typically is.

I've allowed this bug to close since otherwise I'll surely forget for years-- the fix will be in next week's autobuild, if you still have problems after that, please reopen.

Thanks!
