xmms-1.2.10-r13: has every plugin that is normally included in xmms as a separate ebuild now.
But installing any of them will make portage untar xmms, apply all the patches and configuring the wohle thing, only to build one plugin.
This takes too much time, is inefficient and not clean.

Well that's how it's provided upstream.  I agree, but it's not a Gentoo problem.
