This is ebuild (rmagick-1.7.3.ebuild) for the most recent stable version of the RMagick library. It's based on the earlier version, 1.5.0.

Great that you have already committed the 1.7.3! Shouldn't the imagemagick dependancy require atleast version 6.0.0 as stated in RMagick 1.7.3 README? In other words, I suppose that the following lines should be found from the ebuild:

DEPEND="virtual/ruby
        >=media-gfx/imagemagick-6.0.0"
