Description Sebastian 2022-05-08 21:09:45 UTC
Hi all,

I updated xorg packages today (see bug #843167 "Xorg stabilisation for May 2022", which included the mesa bump to 22.0.3. Mesa removed the "classic dri drivers", so for my Intel gfx I had to move from i965 driver to crocos (which happened automatically once I switched the xorg.conf driver from "intel" to "modesetting"). Fine.

But then vaapi video decoding didn't work anymore, because of missing "VA/X11 VAAPI driver mapping for crocus DRI driver" in libva. I then installed libva 2.14.0 and it started working again.

Maybe this is a good reason to stabilize 2.14.0.

Kind regards,
Seb
