This is not an error, only an advertisment that the confcache implementation that Dan Armak did some time ago isn't available (it was a portage patch). I used it to speedup compilation and testing also if it has some bugs and it's unsupported. A better approach is available in portage cvs HEAD. Probably this call in the eclass will be removed in the future. *** Bug 85651 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Do you guys have any idea when the "better approach" in portage is going to be available as a release? Thanks for the great work! *** Bug 95595 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 100368 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Added a test in kde-meta.eclass which hides the 'not defined' message: --- kde-meta.eclass 29 Jul 2005 08:34:59 -0000 1.43 +++ kde-meta.eclass 29 Jul 2005 13:42:38 -0000 @@ -392,12 +392,12 @@ function kde-meta_src_compile() { if [ "$section" == "configure" ]; then # don't log makefile.common stuff in confcache [ ! -f "Makefile.in" ] && make -f admin/Makefile.common - confcache_start + [ "`type -t confcache_start`" == "function" ] && confcache_start myconf="$EXTRA_ECONF $myconf" fi kde_src_compile $section if [ "$section" == "configure" ]; then - confcache_stop + [ "`type -t confcache_stop`" == "function" ] && confcache_stop fi done } |
