You will need to set the MP3 USE-flag if you want MP3 support in XMMS. Please see the information emitted by the ebuild, copied below for your convenience; "media-sound/xmms now just provides the xmms binary and libxmms." "All plugins that were packaged with xmms are now provided by other" "packages in media-plugins. Some of these are automatically pulled in" "based on USE flags. Others you will need to emerge manually. The" "following is a list of packages which were previously provided by" "media-sound/xmms that are not automatically emerged:" (list snipped) The mp3 USE-flag is being made default in all profiles, and will reach you on the next sync. This is not a bug, you have not asked for MP3 support and thus are not recieving it. |
