Perhaps you missed the message post-installation warning you to install extra xmms modules that are no longer bundled, including xmms-cdaudio? Also, I don't understand how upgrading to the testing xmms (note, it's not stable unless your on amd64) broke your cdrw. Perhaps you could elaborate further and provide "emerge info" output? The reporter is on amd64 and has thus received the new ebuild, and seen the new way of packaging XMMS (BMP is following the same route). Please elaborate on the CD-RW breakage, is that hardware failure caused by the plugin, by the user, ...? feel free to reopen if you're about to provide the requested information, thanks |
