 * You don't have >=media-sound/xmms-1.2.10-r13, so we are using the SDK in
 * this package rather that the one installed on your system. It is recommended
 * that you cancel this emerge and grab >=media-sound/xmms-1.2.10-r13 first.

Comment 1 STefan 2005-03-14 12:50:07 UTC
First upgrade other packages, I had the same problem, after I upgrade gnuconfig and gettext. xmms-alsa compiled fine
Comment 2 Jordi Alcántara 2005-03-14 13:36:53 UTC
Maybe you're right STefan.
Yesterday i've modified my USE-flags and executed an "emerge --update --deep --newuse world" and now it worked fine
Comment 3 John Shaw 2005-03-16 12:59:05 UTC
I'm getting a similar error:

You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.
aclocal: macro `jm_AC_TYPE_LONG_LONG' required but not defined

I can post my emerge info completely later tonight (they won't let me stick my home laptop on the work network...) but I am running with the default-linux/ppc/2005.0 profile, ppc and ~ppc keywords and the rest of my system is up2date.
Comment 4 John Shaw 2005-03-16 16:13:44 UTC
Ok... here is my emerge info... I know people are often inclined to blame problems with ppc stuff... but automake/autoconf and aclocal work just fine on ppc so I see no reason why it should fail before it even gets stared

Same as #85177, one dupe of the other. imho this should be set as dupe of the other which is more general and detailed.
