You should not just mark bugs as duplicates of an unfixed closed bug.

It certainly looks like there is a problem and bug #80477 doesn't provide a solution.

In the emerge --resume the problem has disappeared!

Peter: That #80477 doesn't provide a solution, doesn't mean you get an extra bug for the same (non-)issue.

If I were able to reopen bug 80477 I would have done it and added a comment there. The only way to get an OPEN bug here is to create a new one. Sorry for causing you extra work.
