I think this bug can be closed. It is unlikely to be continued as the
developer announced in
and will most likely be superseded by a feature of kde4

Not everybody thinks that Katapult is dead...
Kubuntu developers picked it up where the original maintainer left it.

Here's the version that's in the default install of Kubuntu 5.10.

I also have the segfault problem, using katapult with kde3.5 and gcc-3.3.4
Comment 14 Daniel Lin 2006-02-22 03:36:45 UTC
Works fine for me, using KDE 3.5.1 and GCC 3.4.5
Comment 15 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-22 03:48:24 UTC
emerge info would help to nail down where the problem lies.
By the way I sent a cleanup patch (at least to drop a few cases) to Martin but haven't heard from him yet..
Comment 16 Martin Meredith 2006-02-22 06:33:09 UTC
Flameeyes - where did you send the patch to?
Comment 17 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-22 06:38:52 UTC
Uh.. to your email address (took from here)... ..
Comment 18 Martin Meredith 2006-02-22 09:23:27 UTC
i've added that patch to the bzr stuff...

not too sure about the segfault thoguh - have you tried gcc 3.4on gentoo/
Comment 19 Martin Meredith 2006-02-28 23:51:24 UTC
I'm about to make a point release for this - if you want to try to see if it still segfaults? I havent made any changes that do

What arch are you trying to build on?
Comment 20 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-01 03:07:06 UTC
I'll take care of, seems working fine here this time :)
Comment 21 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-01 03:31:09 UTC
In portage.
Comment 22 Tassilo Horn 2006-03-01 10:25:41 UTC
Works great on x86, so ~x86 can be added.
