Other distrubutions still ship rkhunter with --update. We only have a very minimalistic (close to empty) database. 

rkhunter is wothless without the database.

Please add a note on how to update on gentoo. (einfo, or elog?)

Last time I checked, upstream had not made any updates beyond what was already in the tarball for years.
