Hi,
the gentoo docache option at boot prompt never worked for me, maybe because I have only 192MB of RAM. 
Would it be possible to add the knoppix boot option "fromhd=/dev/hdx" that boots the CD from an existing partition letting you unmount the cdrom. This would be really helpful for people like me with a single cdrom but some free space in a partion (it works with FAT too). It would help people who download files from another connection.
I hope it's not hard to add it to new livecds.
