(Sorry, hit the send button thinking of a preview button.) The thing is, the ETA resets even though the package is still compiling. I'd expect it to show something like "ETA was exceeded". -v should show you "(longest run)" and "(average run)" to indicate which prognosis it is basing the ETA on. What happens in your case is most likely it switching from average to longest because it obviously won't make it within the average time. There's suggestions to show this graphically with some ascii-art so the jump doesn't come as a surprise. |
