@soap, nvidia driver R470 is the long term support branch[1], which came with cuda-11.4.  Cuda-11.4 is the latest version that supports NVPTX JIT on the R470 driver.  I suggest keep a version of dev-util/nvidia-cuda-toolkit-11.4* in tree, at least till 2024.

Benda, have you tested cuda 11.6 on R470? I have users test 11.5 on R470, and it worked just fine. What driver is bundled with cuda is mostly irrelevant to whether you need it for that cuda version.
