Description Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-26 03:39:23 UTC
The first problem I had was that I didn't have different security models enabled. I then changed my kernel and recompiled it. After trying to reinstall I get an error that I didn't compile 'Default Linux Capabilities' as a module. The advice about turning different security models should also tell you to compile Default Linux Capabilities as a module so users don't have to recompile and boot twice.

Reproducible: Always

The fix could be something like the patch I attached.

it does say...

>> eerror "In your .config: CONFIG_SECURITY_CAPABILITIES=m" <<

...already as of 2005-03-14 in realtime-lsm-0.8.5-r1 ebuild. is your /usr/src/linux symlink set correctly?
