Huh, I guess we've never noticed it depends on perl because it's basically impossible to not have perl. Probably somehow related to https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xkeyboard-config/xkeyboard-config/-/commit/3a99ee6ea21c1e04758c2e84481da60c812f597b Heh, my test containers are stripped to minimum, so only the minimal amount of packages pre-installed, and build-deps depcleaned. Then they operate _mostly_ on binpkgs. I do clean build-deps from my desktop too occassionally to get rid of some unused cruft... can't be that weird of a habit? ;) The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=4f8883dc0365556a2b6b2d64469e52c67595d20e commit 4f8883dc0365556a2b6b2d64469e52c67595d20e Author: Matt Turner <mattst88@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2022-02-12 03:47:30 +0000 Commit: Matt Turner <mattst88@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2022-02-12 03:48:26 +0000 x11-misc/xkeyboard-config: BDEPEND on dev-lang/perl Closes: https://bugs.gentoo.org/833078 Signed-off-by: Matt Turner <mattst88@gentoo.org> x11-misc/xkeyboard-config/xkeyboard-config-2.34.ebuild | 1 + x11-misc/xkeyboard-config/xkeyboard-config-2.35.1.ebuild | 1 + x11-misc/xkeyboard-config/xkeyboard-config-9999.ebuild | 1 + 3 files changed, 3 insertions(+) |
