I'm a bit worried about the demands on a residential connection for distfiles. It requires a significant upload speed. I'm not sure how the bandwidth requirement for Gentoo is, but I have hosted an Arch Linux mirror for a while now, without problems. I also have a new connection, with 500 megabit up/down. Actual speeds can differ, but I don't think it should be an issue. |
