3. emerge -select sys-apps/baselayout -> 3. emerge --select sys-apps/baselayout it should me documented somewhere -> it should be documented somewhere sys-apps/baselayout is an "Implicit System Dependency" part of the list: emerge --pretend --nodeps @system Why is it important to warn the user, if the sys-apps/baselayout is not added to the list?
