*** Bug 82557 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Looks like hardened-x86-2005.0_test9.iso is the same. Boots to a graphical login after scrambling root password. Wierd! Well, I'm going to need to find out about your hardware, because starting with 2005.0, we forced login via a bashlogin application written in-house. What command line options are you using? *** Bug 101441 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Kumba: Can you provide me some information on how exactly you're hitting this bug? The original bug poster seems to be AWOL, and I'm not interested in the Hadrened CD stuff, but the regular CD, since the Hardened guys do their own things when it comes to the CD booting. Not sure if it's much good, but I'll attach the entire bootup log, from PROM to the point in which I hit the reset button. I might provide some info into either how this bug is occurring, whether the fact the initrd /dev couldn't be unmounted is the problem, or whateher it's more a baselayout bug of some kind. Ignore the fields specific to the kernel. I commented out that code in
catalyst to work around it until I can make genkernel work for mips-sources.

Discovered my issue is a glitch from when I copied the cata lyst arch-script from alpha. As for original cause of problem on this bug....got me :) Is this still an issue with 2005.1's CD? Please REOPEN with more information (more than 2 months with no response from BP) |
