xchatosd only works correctly with xosd-2.2.8-r1 (and likely earlier versions). Using xosd 2.2.12 consistently crashes xchat on startup. I'm using xchat 2.4.1 and xchatosd 5.17, but I also saw this with xchatosd 5.12. 

Downgrading xosd to 2.2.8-r1 solves the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install xchat 2.4.1
2.Install xosd 2.2.12
3.Install xchatosd 5.17
4.Run xchat-2 and make sure osd is on
5.Wait for the segmentation fault when something should be written on screen

Actual Results:  
Segmentation fault. Not included due to lack of debug information.

Expected Results:  
Display information using the xosd library on screen.
