xgalaga 2.0.34-r5 fails to build from source.  ./configure reports:
configure: error: libXpm can't be found.  Get it from ftp://ftp.x.org/contrib/libraries or specify the location with --with-xpm-lib=DIR.

The ebuild only depends on virtual/x11, which for me is x.org, but apparently libXpm isn't automatically provided like seems to assume.

This is a duplicate of bug 79496 which has been fixed and waiting for updated ebuild to be merge into portage...

Please refer to bug 79496 and download the updated ebuild..

Editing the existing ebuild by hand, adding --with-xpm-lib=/usr/lib where I found it in the new file, fixed it.  (I had trouble getting the new ebuild file to work, which I chalked up to my inexperience in using ebuild(1).)
