Bug 82326 – emerge fails while installing xorg-x11-6.8.0-r4 libXi.a Malformed archive

I tried to emerge php and as a dependency emerge installs xorg-x11-6.8.0-r4. I do not intend to install a x-system on that machines as it is a designated apache/mysql-server. During build process of x11-6.8.0-r4 the following output is generated:

The system is absolutely new installed stage 1 with hardened-dev-sources (see below). No problems with emerge vim, emerge apache or emerge mysql. Neither problems during bootstrap nor emerge system.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge php
2. calculating dependencies...
3. --> xorg-x11-6.8.0-r4 is emerged

Actual Results:  
Error message appears as stated above (see Details) and emerge stops

Expected Results:  
emerge successfully xorg-x11-6.8.0-r4, subsequently all other dependencies for 
php and finally php itself.

Ok, setting "-X" prevents emerge of xorg-x11 but the problem remains otherwise.

Is this still reproduceable? Reopen if so.
