Hmm, I get no such failures on three different stable systems. There haven't been any changes in 0.9.7 or 0.9.12 other than ~x86->x86 for several months. I'll take a look, thanks for the bug report. In the meantime, you might try xlog-1.1 (still marked unstable) unreproducable. This is a sandbox violation occurring when update-desktop-database tries to write in /usr/share/applications. Use 'FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge -u xlog' to work around. I'm not sure what the permanent solution should be. Probably should be addressed in the update-mime-database tool. |
