Description Peter Kovacs 2005-02-15 23:49:07 UTC
Hopefully I do this right :/
I watched did not find any bugs fitting to my problem.

whenever I start evolution 2.x It tries to migrate all the stuff from my old account. Mails come over fine (about 50000) then adresses are done, and personilized. There it stops by 10%

After that it stops with 100% CPU. I think it does not completly crash because If I kill it it recognize and complyins that evolution has lost suddenly connection. I tried to run it over night but no more result.
On my system evolution and the data-system are used from the stable tree.
If you need more I give you as much Infos as I know, but I do not know where to look now. And I do not want to post rubbish here.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
I can not reproduce it bc I do not have a second machine to try.
1. emerege evolution 1.4
2. put mails adresses in
3. emerge evolution 2
4. start evolution

Actual Results:
addressbook_migrate (1.4.0)

(evolution:10604): libebook-WARNING **: invalid utf8 passed to EVCard. Limping
along.

(evolution:10604): libebook-WARNING **: vcard ended without END:VCARD

trying to migrate from /home/legine/evolution/addressbook-sources.xml
found 1 contact servers to migrate
trying to migrate completion folders

Expected Results:

Looks like there's something that's not being handled correctly when it's exported to VCard, I'd guess at something strange in one of your contacts, but I can't reproduce it here. Any suggestions? Is it one particular contact?

hard to say.
My adressbook is not that long. It contains mainly E-Mail and telephone numbers.
some cards are doubled. They are different by name but the E-Mail adresses are the same.
I have 2 email Lists.
Of course I use German alphabet, but I think I use no specialchars of the german alsphabet.
Some naims contain '-' or other special chars. Telephon numbers I deved with slash or minus and Space for better readability.

Thats the specials I can think of. Maybe there is something that helps.
