Hi,
with mesa 21.3 I am able to use the crocus driver for my Haswell laptop.
But I have to compile the intel and, by dependency, the classic one anyway due to:
- x11-libs/libdrm
- x11-libs/libva
- x11-apps/igt-gpu-tools

Is it just required to update the ebuilds or also some work is required upstream?

We're going to get rid of VIDEO_CARDS=crocus (and the others, like i915, i965, iris) entirely and just have VIDEO_CARDS=intel.
