scim-pinyin version is 0.5.0.  I guess scim-chinese 0.4.2 still works with scim-1.1.3 so this is not as urgent as I initially thought.

Right. scim-pinyin requires scim-1.1.3 but not vice versa.
I didn't have time yesterday to put scim-pinyin to CVS,
and I'll do that later today. Thanks for the report anyway.
