Description x11sh 2021-09-14 18:50:16 UTC
I emerged Abiword (3.0.4, on stable) with all USE flags off. With a plain, clean start, if I write anything, select it and try to copy it to clipboard with Ctrl-C, Abiword crashes an writes "Aborted" output on the terminal.

Differently from the https://bugs.gentoo.org/21702 bug, I do not have -fomit-frame-pointer or anything that idiosyncratic, I believe:

COMMON_FLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe"
CFLAGS="${COMMON_FLAGS}"
CXXFLAGS="${COMMON_FLAGS}"
FCFLAGS="${COMMON_FLAGS}"
FFLAGS="${COMMON_FLAGS}"
USE="X alsa cairo xpm gif savedconfig postscript rubberband mp3 elogind"\
"-vala -introspection -nls -hunspell -spell -xinerama -goffice"
MAKEOPTS="-j8"
EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS='-j 4 -l 4'
INPUT_DEVICES="libinput"
VIDEO_CARDS="nouveau"

Probably related to
"Use shared_ptr for fl_PartOfBlock to avoid use-after-free crash."

could you test 3.0.5 too?

I tested on 3.0.5 and it works fine!

Sorry for the missing information. This being resolved in a newer version I reckon we should not pursue it, right?

Hey, thanks for getting back to us!

Let's turn this into a stabilisation request for 3.0.5.
