I am using the nvidia kernel too and the nvidia-glx, both version number 1.0.6629-r1  using xorg version 6.8.0-r4

I can't think of any other useful information other than it does crash every time I try to run openoffice.org but will crash sometimes with gaim and such.

Can you reproduce this problem with the nv driver? Please reopen when you reply.
