/var/tmp/portage/kde-plasma/kwin-5.22.4-r1/work/kwin-5.22.4/src/plugins/platforms/x11/common/eglonxbackend.cpp:227:66: error: invalid conversion from ‘xcb_window_t’ {aka ‘unsigned int’} to ‘KEGLNativeWindowType’ {aka ‘void*’} [-fpermissive] Checking mesa/qtgui USE flags may help for now. Same here. Sounds like it could be related to https://bugs.gentoo.org/810343... Simply adding -DUSE_X11=true to CXXFLAGS doesn't seem to help with this, though. Did you rebuild dev-qt/qtgui after media-libs/libglvnd-1.3.4 upgrade yet? (In reply to Andreas Sturmlechner from comment #5) > Did you rebuild dev-qt/qtgui after media-libs/libglvnd-1.3.4 upgrade yet? I just tried rebuilding both libglvnd and qtgui just in case and then trying to build kwin again, same error. Matt, was that a downstream change or sth everyone is getting with >=media-libs/libglvnd-1.3.4? I accidentally cleaned my entire 500+ packages out of the plasma-meta and kde-apps-meta groups last night so I left my laptop on all night to re-emerge them. All of those packages got recompiled but it still failed when it got to kwin. I tried manually installing kwin-5.21.5-r1 but it also fails to build. Austin, doing the same thing over and over again will not make a difference. The cause is identified, upstream was notified, the information is all contained in this bug. (In reply to Andreas Sturmlechner from comment #10) > Austin, doing the same thing over and over again will not make a difference. > > The cause is identified, upstream was notified, the information is all > contained in this bug. Well, that was my reason for trying an older version, I thought the bug was with the latest version of kwin. I'm just trying to get it to work temporarily since I can't use the computer at the moment. (In reply to Austin Kilgore from comment #11) > (In reply to Andreas Sturmlechner from comment #10) > > Austin, doing the same thing over and over again will not make a difference. > > > > The cause is identified, upstream was notified, the information is all > > contained in this bug. > > Well, that was my reason for trying an older version, I thought the bug was > with the latest version of kwin. > > I'm just trying to get it to work temporarily since I can't use the computer > at the moment. Downgrading libglvnd may work. Downgrading libglvnd did the trick.
