it compiles fine, but nothing happens when i hit the 'new' button. how is this app supposed to work? i have no rich text format file, so i can't test one 2.12 is gone from the ftp site, and 2.17 (the current version) doesn't build on my setup. ok, so this looks pretty unusable Hmm. I can see app-editors/ted-2.12 in the portage packages list. I've got it running. "New" works fine, a new document is opened, I can edit it and save it, re-open it, etc. I can open other RTF documents too. An emerge sync I did earlier today still lists ted (amongst others): > sudo emerge --search ted Searching... [ Results for search key : ted ] [ Applications found : 16 ] * app-editors/ted Latest version available: 2.12 Latest version installed: 2.12 Size of downloaded files: 2,500 kB Homepage: http://www.nllgg.nl/Ted Description: X-based rich text editor. License: GPL-2 So I'm not at all clear about what is going on. Sorry. |
