Is this with USE="doc"? Please provide more info (the output of emerge info at a minimum). Thanks in advance... I forgot it here too, sorry! s> emerge info Portage 2.0.51-r14 (default-linux/x86/2004.3, gcc-3.3.5, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.9-gentoo-r9-1 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.9-gentoo-r9-1 i686 AMD Duron(tm) Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Python: dev-lang/python-2.2.3-r5,dev-lang/python-2.3.4 [2.3.4 (#1, Oct 24 2004, 16:27:55)] distcc 2.16 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [enabled] ccache version 2.3 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.2.3-r5, 2.3.4 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.59-r5 sys-devel/automake: 1.8.5-r1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.2-r7 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.8.1-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distcc distlocks sandbox sfperms" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.easynet.nl/mirror/gentoo/ http://ftp.easynet.nl/mirror/gentoo/ http://gentoo.inode.at/ ftp://gentoo.inode.at/source/" MAKEOPTS="-j4" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 3dnow X aalib acpi alsa apm athena avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bonobo cairo cdr crypt cscope cups curl dga directfb dmx dnd doc dv dvd encode esd f77 faad fam fbcon flac font-server foomaticdb fortran freetype gdbm ggi gif gnome gphoto2 gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile hal imagemagick imlib ipv6 java joystick jpeg jpeg2k kde ldap libcaca libg++ libsamplerate libwww mad maildir mbox mikmod mmx mozilla moznoirc moznomail mozp3p mozsvg mpeg mule mysql nas ncurses neXt nls objc oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl png povray python qt quicktime readline ruby samba sasl scanner sdk sdl slang spell sse ssl stencil-buffer svg svga tcltk tcpd tetex tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts unicode wmf xface xml xml2 xmms xprint xrandr xv zlib" Unset: LDFLAGS This looks like you have a broken tetex installation that can't process latex files. And yes, you're right. I just noticed I've some latex problems. But this could not be since a long time. Two weeks before I used latex without problems. Perhaps the last update destroyed something.
Please try again after you've fixed your tetex install, and report the results. Thanks again... Hm, my tetex is from the gentoo portage! So how should I fix it? I would go back to x86, but this version is broken for some png problems. Ok, I'll try to install an older version and if this doesn't help I open an extra bug report for this. >=app-text/tetex-2.96 has been masked since 17 Oct 2004.
It may or may not work. (At least it compiles and works
on my machine, though) png problems is not caused by tetex
but libpng (fixed in >=libpng-1.2.7-r1). If this was the
only reason you unmasked >=app-text/tetex-2.96, you'd better
switch back to tetex-2.0 series.
FYI, I've just committed tetex-3.0.ebuild to CVS and
removed tetex-2.99.9, so if you have some time before
restoring tetex-2.0.2, please try the latest version
and see if it is still broken or not :)
So this is not a gnuplot problem and it looks like this bug is just gathering dust. ;-) |
