Description Jon Hood (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-03 11:17:14 UTC
Some of the software I'm writing where I work uses POE-Component-Client-Asterisk-Manager, so I thought I'd go ahead and submit the ebuild (which I wouldn't mind maintaining if that's ok). No software in portage uses this module yet, but it is easier to go to clients and "emerge POE-Component-Client-Asterisk-Manager" as needed. It's just a standard CPAN perl module.

Have you considered setting up a portage overlay for this and other modules? You could pop it onto your client machines, still have the ease of emerge with an ebuild you maintain/know, but without the hassle of depending on us/me to keep it up to date (or not exceeding your version when upstream makes a change).

Ping me offline if you need help setting up an overlay. Other than that, I'm afraid without any external deps I can't add this to the tree as is. Sorry,

Mike
