it uses classes already deprecated in java 8 and not present in java 11

Even the presently latest version 3.7.12 (https://github.com/jidesoft/jide-oss/tree/1908323) seems to stuck at java-9.

Can we last-rite this package including its reverse dependencies 
(dev-java/jchart2d and sci-geosciences/bt747)?
