I was reviewing the logs and I found:
WARN: setup
sys-devel/llvm:12 is missing! Cannot use LLVM slot 12 ...

As it is tagged as a warning, I thought it was like an "issue" needing to get reviewed, but I noticed that :12 slot is still in testing and I guess it is more "informative" than a real problem needing fixing. I would then suggest to use elog instead of ewarn

I added this because we had users not understanding why slot X was used when they expected that slot Y should be used. I.e. it was added as "warning" to tell you we recognized you have slot Y installed but it cannot be used because of <reason>".

When watching emerge (=not running in quiet mode), chances are higher that you will spot such a warning, press CTRL+C and fix the problem in case you care about used versions that much.

But I also understand your point. It's not actionable.
