what stage did you start with ? please show the full filename CD: Universal live CD 2004.3 Stage: stage1-x86-2004.3.tar.bz2 Portage snapshot: portage-20041022.tar.bz2 rsync server: rsync://mirror.aiya.ru/gentoo sync date: 20.01.2005 ~ first time 18.00 (GMT + 3), second time 23.00 (GMT + 3) And more. In november 2004 - i used this livecd to install gentoo on my homenet gatway computer. And there was no problem at all.And when i install gentoo without "emerge --sync" - its all fine ! I think there could be some bug in the portage or probably bug in the portage tree structure ... please use a 2005.0 tarball if this still isnt resolved for you |
