A new version of haskell-mode has been released. All you have to do is to rename the 1.44-r1 version to 1.45 and that's it. Just tested it here on x86 and it worked fine. The new version fixes a problem in Emacs/GHCi interaction, so it would be nice to get this into portage soon. Thanks!
